Charitable Contribution Requests

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center and Attractions cares deeply about supporting our local Middle Tennessee community and gives generously, both financially, in kind, and with volunteer hours. It is the policy of Gaylord Opryland to contribute to activities, 501c3 organizations and causes in Middle Tennessee which:

• Support the vitality of children
• Promote heart health awareness and cardiovascular disease prevention
• Support our designated local Pencil Partner schools (McGavock High School, Two Rivers Middle School, and Pennington Elementary School)
• Deliver aid and support to communities, especially in times of need

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center and Attractions does NOT contribute to:

• Individuals
• Out of state organizations
• Loans for any purpose
• Organizations that foster or practice discrimination on any basis, including race, color, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability or veteran status
• Organizations or activities connected with controversial social or political issues
• Religious organizations, fraternal organizations, and other organizations when serving only their own membership
• Foundations
• Fundraising activities (i.e. courtesy advertisements, souvenir programs and giveaway products) rather than direct contributions to charity
• Sole or substantial sponsorship of single performances, contests or exhibitions by cultural or sports groups
• Projects or events that have been completed
• Organizations that are ineligible under federal or state laws to receive tax-deductible donations
• Local, state or federal agencies or employees (excluding times of disaster and Marriott-initiated recognition for such groups)

Application and Processing of Requests

All contribution requests should include the following:

• Purpose and mission of group requesting a donation
• Expected or intended results for use of donation
• Description of what kind of recognition Gaylord Opryland will receive (advertising, announcements at event, banners, etc.), if applicable
• Description of benefits Gaylord Opryland will receive (tickets, event admissions, etc.), if applicable

Please submit sponsorship requests a minimum of 8 weeks prior to event for consideration. Sponsorships are reviewed on a monthly basis by our Community Engagement Steering Council. We will accept one request per agency, per year, for consideration.
